The blog for whoever is written by me, Dan Marx, and contains odds and ends of whatever I may be working on, playing around with, building, designing, fixing or breaking that week. You’ll find lots of information on this site from cars to computers to music to RC cars. I’ve got design details and lots of pictures of speaker projects I’ve done over the years from 15″ subwoofers to two-way and three-way full-range speakers for anyone with an interest in DIY speaker building. I enjoy writing about my never-ending RC car and RC airplane hobbies which actually take up a good amount of my spare time. I love to listen to music, whether it be on my iPod in the car, or on my wannabe soon-to-be-awesome audiophile 2-channel audio system at home. I love to play the guitar and the piano and have a fetish for figuring out songs. I’ve tabbed music from some of my favorite bands like The Ocean Blue, Riverside and Death Cab for Cutie. I started a YouTube channel a year ago where I teach piano tutorials of songs I’ve figured out over the years. When I’m not figuring out songs, I’m writing songs, either on the guitar, or the piano, or both. I’ve built a very modest music studio which allows me to write and create music at a moment’s notice. I’ve been known to stay up way past my bedtime recording beats, basslines and melodies. One day you may get to hear some of it. I’m into general computer stuff, like building computers, fixing computers, playing on computers, etc. I am the family IT guy keeping my seven computers up and running in this house. I love driving around in my sweet VW GTI 2015 Kia Optima SXT. I’ve recently begun designing and building custom pieces of furniture for my home from built-in shelving units to full-blown entertainment centers and I even built a hall tree. And last but not least I enjoy writing in this blog every chance I get, as if I have something to say. The title of this blog is based on the title of the first song off the debut album of one of the greatest bands ever, and so it felt fitting for this web blog, to whomever might read it.
This site makes no money, but if you’re feeling generous, go ahead and donate a couple of bucks, I’ll put it towards buying cool gear so I can keep creating great blog posts!
Thanks a lot for all the great speaker enclosure theory. Well done! Oh, and you like computers too. Thanks for all the hard work and great stuff.
