created by me, Dan Marx, who for some reason has an
addiction to making web pages about everything and anything
that he finds interesting in this world. This time
I've attacked the already saturated market of RC18T fanatics
who have just gone crazy for this sweet little 1/18th scale
truck. I don't claim to know any more about the hobby
than the next guy, but I do have a knack for tinkering with
stuff, always had since I was 5 years old. And not
much has changed in the last 25 years.
My main purpose for making
this site, was to share some of the pictures of
modifications I've done to my RC18T to make it better,
faster, and more durable. I've also got a couple
of friends who've done the same who also wanted to share
their ideas, tips, pictures, etc. So we made the
site and starting filling it with as much useful content
as we could think up. Of course, everything is a
work in progress, nothing happens overnight, especially
around my house where weekends are about the only time I
really can get anything done around here. But I do
hope to keep this site as up-to-date as possible.
Also, I welcome any
user-submissions for articles, reviews, tips, and
pictures of your rides. I realize that there's
already lots of information out there and most of it
exists in all the popular forums that we all visit
everyday, which is great. I hope this site also
becomes a daily-favorite place to visit and get ideas on
what you can do to make your RC18T more fun to drive.
Or just to hang out and see what we're up to and what
some of the other fans of this truck are doing to get
the most out of this hobby.
I've divided the site into
several main categories which can be defined as follows:
- HOME - The latest
everything - latest news, latest articles, latest reviews,
latest tips, etc.
- ARTICLES - Exactly
what the title suggests. Lengthy, well-written
descriptions of anything that we feel deserves being
written about.
- REVIEWS - Product
reviews of anything related to R/C. Likes and
gripes, our rating, overall performance and
recommendations.
- RIDES - We'll
showcase a ride as often as we can with detailed pics and
specifications.
- TIPS - These are
short, quick tips about anything subject-related and can
be as short as one- sentence suggestions for improved
performance or whatever.
- VIDEOS - I can't
host a ton of videos, but we may showcase some of the good
ones, and link to a few others that we like.
- LINKS - Places to
buy parts, great online forums, and other useful and
pertinent information.
We want to invite anyone who
feels they can contribute in any of these areas to please send us your submissions
and we'll get them posted on the site. All credit goes to
the original authors, and if we like what you write, you can
even become a contributing editor for this site. No idea
is too small, no tip is too stupid. If you like it, write
about it, and send it us.
In the end, if nothing else, I've
had fun making this site. Hopefully other people find the
information herein useful and maybe even somewhat entertaining.
And on that note, thanks for stopping by and supporting this
crazy hobby know as R/C.
