Making Clear Corner Lights

This next mod I got from jdmfan.com and explains the details to removing the ugly orange reflectors in the corner lights of any 96-98 Civic.  On other color cars they aren't so bad but when did green and orange ever go together?  So I said to myself, "Those orange reflectors have got to go!"  Little did I know a few days later I would be ripping the whole headlight apart to get them out.  It took me about 3 hours to complete just one side, from removal to reinstallation.  It only took 1 hour to do the other side.  Wow does it look a million times better!  No wonder they changed the headlight for all the 99 and newer models.  Anyway, I won't go into the details of how I did it.  I used a couple of flat-head screwdrivers and a very hot blow dryer.  That's all it takes and a little bit of patience.  I just worked my way all the way around the headlight, until it pulled completely apart.  Then I pulled out the orange lenses and glued the whole thing back together.

As a side note, it is illegal to have front blinkers any other color besides orange.  Whether or not a cop will actually pull you over is another story.  Just to be on the safe side, I purchased a pair of 99-00 style orange parking bulbs so that the headlamp still looks orange when the lights are on at night.  However when the lights are off during the day, it still looks very clear and very cool.
