Replacing the Stock Speakers

These are the first few modifications I made to my stock '97 Civic.  For those of my friends who know me well, know that I'm some what of an audiophile.  Music is my life, and a good stereo system is almost more important than the car itself.  So the first thing I replaced were the stock speakers in the front doors and rear deck.  Let me just say that the stock speakers on the Civics are absolutely hideous.  They couldn't have picked a cheaper, more crappy speaker to put in this car.  Now the stock 6 disc CD player and AM/FM stereo isn't all that bad.  I've read that Alpine is the OEM for their decks and changers?  Well the Pioneer stock speakers just plain suck.  So to anyone whose got stock speakers in their Civic, change them out now!  You will be very pleased with the results of even a decent pair of new speakers.
