Why Apple’s MacBooks Have Reason to ENVY HP

So just yesterday HP released details on their new ENVY 14 Series laptops. Adding to the lineup of 13, 15 and 17-inch models, the 14-inch version fits right into a personal sweet spot in terms of size and portability. The ENVY 14 makes up for some of the downsides of the 13″ version by adding a slot-loaded DVD drive, a higher-resolution screen, a bigger battery and a back-lit keyboard. I’ve been looking at getting a new laptop and haven’t been able to find anything I liked until now. Just for grins, I thought I’d do a quick comparison of the ENVY 14 against Apple’s MacBook Pro 13 and see who comes out on top in terms of price and performance. I have to say, this one seems like a no-brainer. Check out the specs below and see for yourself just who provides the better value. If anything, Apple’s 13″ MacBook Pro is long overdue for an upgrade. Until then, the HP ENVY is bound to live up to its name.
